Last Fall, Don't Expand UW Primate Testing filed a lawsuit against the University of Washington’s Board of Regents over the Regents’ decision to build the Animal Research and Care Facility because the decision occurred in one of the Regents’ closed-door dinner meetings at the UW President’s mansion -- a violation of Washington's Open Public Meetings Act.

Another Skanska Protest in San Antonio!

The temps dropped down to 34 degrees but that didn't stop us. We had some offices that share Skanska's walls close their window blinds. We noticed a few ppl looking out of the Skanska windows but nothing came of it. We will continue to speak up and with more megaphones. Louder megaphones. We'll be back, Skanska.

Day of action in Seattle: FIVE home demos!

Over the weekend, thirty activists from all over the Pacific Northwest converged in Seattle for a day of home demos throughout the area at the houses of people with the University of Washington and Skanska who are integral in the plans for the new lab.

Skanska Protest in San Antonio!

Activists in Texas continue to bring pressure to Skanska's San Antonio office, with activists of all ages holding signs and chanting to tell Skanska to drop their contract with the University of Washington, as well as to let passersby know about the bloody business that Skanska is involved in: building labs in which thousands of animals will be tortured and killed.

Surprise nighttime home demos!

The day that the No New Animal Lab campaign made a call to action to intensify the campaign against Skanska and the University of Washington as the proposed lab site is prepared for construction, activists in the Seattle area showed an initial response by having two unannounced nighttime home demos.
