Activists in the Seattle area have been going door-to-door in the neighborhoods surrounding the University of Washington and the site of the proposed lab to let people know about the upcoming March on UW. We encourage everyone to join us for the march -- whether you're a long time activist, or you simply don't want a new animal lab in your community.

For the Regents Planning Retreat, the pressure on UW leadership continued!

On Thursday, the University of Washington Board of Regents and other members of UW leadership met for an all-day Planning Retreat at Cedarbrook Lodge. They were meeting to discuss the future of the UW...which people around the world are working to make sure doesn't include building the Animal Research and Care Facility.

Monday night home demos against UW leadership!

This Thursday, the University of Washington Board of Regents and other members of UW leadership are meeting at the Cedarbrook Lodge for a Planning Retreat to discuss the future of the university. So activists decided to make sure that people who are going to be at that meeting started the week out by thinking about the plans for the Animal Research and Care Facility and the impact that the No New Animal Lab campaign is going to have on the future of the UW.

There is no rest for Skanska executives. Their corporate power affords them influence within the company hierarchy. They are complicit in company decisions, such as the contract to build the Animal Research and Care Facility. They will be held accountable, challenged for the positions of power which they hold in a corporation poised to profit from the confinement, suffering, and death of animals in labs.

Warning to the Easter Bunny!

Sometime during the night before Easter, a sign was left on the fence in front of the house of University of Washington Interim President Ana Mari Cauce at 11310 34th Ave. NE, Seattle. The sign warns the Easter Bunny to be careful going near her home because she pushed for and supports the building of the new animal lab at the UW.
