Sharing Some Loving Rage - Demos Everywhere in the NW

While the NNAL tour and campaign message reaches the doorsteps of Skanska executives nation-wide, regional activists are making sure the UW Board of Regents and regional Skanska elites in charge of construction of the lab are getting plenty of love too. Over the past couple weeks the local crews in Seattle and Portland have been charging up for the #MarchonUW on October 2nd with a ton of home demos and Skaska office protests.

The NNAL Tour Arrives at Skanska Headquarters in NYC

From the NNAL Tour: 

The No New Animal Lab Tour set off about one month ago as a long and winding trip across the United States with the purpose of pressuring Skanska offices and executives and rebuilding grassroots animal liberation networks nationwide. City by city, we found executives at their offices, their homes, and their country clubs. All of this culminated towards our arrival in New York City--headquarters of Skanska USA and its subsidiaries, and home to the company's most powerful and culpable executives.

Banner Drop in Center of Skanska CEO's Home Town!

During the Thursday morning commute hours, a banner appeared over the bustling intersection of Main Street and New York Avenue of Huntington, NY, home to Skanska USA CEO and President Richard Cavallaro who resides at 6 Castle Harbor Road. Amidst the festival banners hanging throughout the town, this one brought the serious message to Huntington residents that a facilitator of animal torture lives among them.

The NNAL Tour in North Carolina!

Reportback from the NNAL Tour:

The NNAL Tour's first stop in North Carolina was Asheville for a workshop at Firestorm Café & Books, a worker-owned community space filled with independently-published books, social movement artwork, and a welcoming energy. We talked with a full room about the NNAL campaign, and we were excited to see the audience connect the ideas of the campaign to their own work and show an interest in getting more involved. It was a great kickoff to several protests in North Carolina.

NNAL Tour Passes Through Orlando and Atlanta

From the NNAL Tour:

Leaving Florida was tough. We had such a great time protesting for three consecutive days that it seemed like our time there wouldn’t end so soon. So after leaving for Atlanta, we decided keep it up and take a short detour to visit Robert Utsey, Senior Vice President for Skanska USA in Orlando.
